Jackie White

DYER CHAPEL-Jackie White, a beloved member of the Cookeville community, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Born on October 17, 1960, in Putnam County, Tennessee, Jackie was a proud graduate of Putnam County High School and demonstrated his commitment to service by serving in the National Guard.

Throughout his trucking career, Jackie held positions at several esteemed companies, including Russell Stover, Ryder Trucking, and Service Transport. His work ethic and dedication were evident in all his endeavors, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Jackie’s passions extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers, always cheering for his team with great enthusiasm. He cherished the open road, particularly enjoying motorcycle rides on his Harley with his brother. Jackie also loved cookouts and holidays spending quality time with family and friends, and embarking on RV trips that created lasting memories.

Jackie leaves behind his loving wife, Michelle Abram White, whom he married on May 20, 2006. He is also survived by his son, Kelly William (Ashley) Deming of Overton County, Tennessee, and his daughter, Samantha Pauline (Cody) Clark, also of Overton County. He embraced his role as a stepfather to Mike Stout of Cookeville and Erica Stout of Nashville. Jackie also leaves behind his dear brother, James White of Cookeville, and sisters Sheila (Donald) Moss of Baxter, JoAnn (Tommy) Randolph of Cookeville, and Peggy (Jimmy) Chism of Cookeville. His legacy will continue through his grandchildren, Amayalei Clark, Annalise Clark, Ansley Clark, Ean Clark, Audrey Clark, Emma Deming, Kamden Deming, and Aiden Jones, who brought him immense joy; and dogs Rocky and Ruby.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Julus Ray and Ester Pauline Gaw White, as well as his grandparents, Ed and Willie Gaw and Joseph and Peggy Flatt White; and his brothers, Jerry Napier and Terry Napier.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dyer Chapel, located at 798 South Willow Avenue, Cookeville, TN 38501. Additional visitation will take place at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church, 777 South Willow Ave. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at the church starting at 1:00 PM. Pastor Todd Bunge will officiate. Interment will follow in West Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Stout, Dan Abram, Johnathan Randolph, Joey Randolph, Danny Warden, Michael Chism, Randall Henley and Jeff Henley.

Jackie regularly attended church services and had a deep faith in God. His warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His commitment to family, friendship, and community will forever be remembered.
