A memorial service for Jack Duran will be held on June 20th at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow at Zion Lutheran Church, 3644 Bolivar Ave., North Highlands, CA 95660. Jack was born on January 31, 1945, in Chicago, IL to Arthur Duran and Evelyn Smith Duran. He graduated in 1962 from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights, IL. He served in the US Air Force from 1964-1967. Jack was a 45 year member of IBEW 340 in Sacramento, CA, where he worked as a journeyman electrician and taught apprenticeship classes. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Lynn; daughters, Traci Schilling (Dion) and Jennifer Obrine (Jason); son, Scott Duran (Berta); six grandchildren, Cathrine, Charlotte, Paige, Haley, AJ, and Wyatt; and three great grandsons, Jake, Everett, and Ari. He is also survived by his brother, James Duran (Robin) and 5 nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Pamela Gau. In lieu of flowers, memorials by be sent to The Wounded Warrior Project (Jack's charity of choice) or to your charity preference.
