Funeral services for Mr. JB Davidson, age 88, of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 26 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Hawkins and David Netherton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Monday from 11 a.m until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Davidson passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home in Cookeville. He was born November 8, 1927 in Jackson County, TN to the late Lewis K. and Mary Susan Steward Davidson. Mr. Davidson was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Bangham Heights Baptist Church. He retired in 1993 from Tennessee Tech University maintenance department after 44 years of service. He was a member of Middle TN Antique Tractor and Engine Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine Moody Davidson; and sister, Lena Marie Smith. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Faye O'Bryan Davidson, who he married May 24, 1979 in Cookeville; son, Bryan L. Davidson; two daughters, Shirley Brown (Thomas Schnepf), and Patricia Jackson (Donald Thrasher); sister, Lorene Rhoten; all of Cookeville; five grandchildren, Kevin Brown, Amber Jacobs (Michael), Mardi Jackson, Melissa Jackson, and Mikah Black; and five great-grandchildren.
