IVA DEE HICKS

Funeral services for Iva Dee Hicks, 88 of Baxter, will be Sunday, August, 27 at 3 PM at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Frank Rodgers will officiate.

Mrs. Hicks died Thursday evening, August 24, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born July 18, 1935 in Pickett County, TN to the late Dillard Curtis and Sallie Mae Beaty Whittenburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by children: James Ralph Wilmoth, Jr., Deborah Jean Curtis and Tommy Curtis Wilmoth, granddaughter April Reagan, brothers Glen C., Perry J., Willie Grady and Freddie C. Whittenburg.

She was a member of Double Springs Community Church and a retired nurses aide.

Survivors include sister and brother-in-law Judy and Frank Rodgers of Baxter, grandchildren: Kevin (Dustin) Curtis, Crystal (Brian) Harris, Amanda (Bobby) Hall, Tommy Wilmoth (Lexi Blazic), great-grandchildren: Christopher Harris, Aden Harris, Evan Harris, Lucy Hall, Kaydee Hall, Mason Sidwell, Addilyn Maxwell, Ivy Wilmoth and Ruby Yancey, great-great-grandchildren Jamison Sidwell, Hudson Lee Sidwell, son-in-law Tommy Curtis of Baxter, daughter-in-law Cindy Yancey of Baxter, sister-in-law Ginny Whittenburg of Newark Valley, New York, nieces Patty Burgess, Sandy Fox and Nancy Trotter, nephew Carl J. Whittenburg, and a very dear friend Lora Rose.

Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Godsey, Gavin Godsey, Bobby Hall, Kevin Curtis, Mason Sidwell, Tommy Wilmoth and Brian Harris.
