Inez Beevers

Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Inez Hunter Beevers of Algood will be held Thursday October 2 at 11 a.m. (E.S.T.) at Lakeside Cemetery in Fremont, Indiana with Bill Romans officiating. Mrs. Beevers family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Algood Family Event Center (formerly Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home). Mrs. Beevers died Sunday afternoon September 28, 2014 in Signature HealthCARE of Putnam County in Algood. She was born May 6, 1923 in Livingston, TN (Old Union Community) to the late Jim and Amanda Davis Hunter. She lived there for 17 years. She then moved with her family to Indiana and stayed there until 1991 when she moved to Algood to be close to her family and friends. She attended Algood Church of Christ. She and her husband Calvin C. Beevers (whom she was married to from 1949 until his death in 1981) owned and operated a farm. They raised cattle, sheep, pigs, and grew hay and wheat. Inez loved taking care of all the baby animals born on the farm with one of her dogs, Sassy. She also loved gardening and flowers. She loved her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews, and they all adored her. Inez had a kind, polite, modest spirit that made her a true lady. Inez was a very loving aunt. She had a kind word and smile for everyone. Everyone that came to know and spend time with her will greatly miss her. Heaven is receiving a wonderful Saint. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Walden O. Hunter, James C. Hunter, and Louis S. Hunter. Survivors include her nieces: Darlene, Debbie, Kristy, Jerry Jean, and Janice; great nephews, Philip, Charlie; great nieces, Sherry, Nikki, Holly, Taylor; great- great nieces, and nephews; and a special friend, Sedouis Charles Eldridge.
