Ina Willene Riddle

Ina Willene Riddle, 84, of Cookeville, TN, passed away on July 6, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs . Riddle was born October 19, 1923 to Soloman and Lee Ann Messenger of Cookeville, TN. She attended Wilhite Community School. She moved to Detriot, Michigan with her husband Joe Lee Riddle and resided there for thirty years. In 1972 she moved to Sparta, TN. Mrs. Riddle became Supervisor at Spencer Shirt Company until she retired. She was a member of the Old Timers Square Dance Team, of White County and was a celebrated World Champion Square Dancer and Clogger. She was a member of Wilhite Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Gene Riddle and his wife Mary of Nashville, TN; Her daughter Jo Ann Riddle of Cookeville, TN, and a loving companion of 25 years, Grant McIlwain; her brother, Jim Messenger and wife Doris of Sparta, TN. granddaughter Susan Riddle of Cookeville, TN; grandson David Riddle and wife Amy of Gallatin, TN; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Salmon and Lee Ann Messenger and her three brothers, Ernest, Bill and Homer Messenger. The Visitation for Mrs. Riddle will be held Tuesday, July 8. 2008 in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home from 1 to 8 pm. The Funeral will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the Chapel, with interment to follow at Davis Cemetery. Bro. Terry Geren and Bro. Jeff Hicks will be officiating.
