Hubert Lee Braswell

Funeral services for Hubert Lee Braswell, 83 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Stevens Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home and then on Thursday, December 31, from 9:00 a. m. until time of service. Mr. Braswell died Monday, December 28, 2009, at Masters Health Care Center. He was born July 18, 1926 in Dekalb County TN to the late Shelah Braswell and Maurine Johnson Braswell. Mr. Braswell was a retired accountant from Coca Cola Bottling Company and was a charter member of the Stevens Street Baptist Church. His family includes one brother; Paul Braswell and wife Bettie of Baxter; three sisters; Jean Herron of Cookeville, Loretta Inglis and husband George of Arrington TN, and Betty Harris and husband Jimmy of Cookeville. He is also survived by a very special friend, Ilene Philips. In addition to his parents, Mr. Braswell was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Braswell; one brother, James Braswell; and two sisters, Helen Ruth Randolph and Marie McNeely. Pallbearers will be Michael, Ricky and Randy Braswell, Kenny and Tommy Randolph, Scott Herron, Mark Inglis, Brent Harris and Bill Carr. Memorial donations may be made to the Stevens Street Baptist Church Building Fund. Dr. Jimmy Arms and Bro. Tim Franks will conduct the services.
