Horace E. Hall

Horace passed away March 28, 2024 in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was born July 29, 1933 in Monterey, Tennessee and grew up as part of the Homestead community in nearby Crossville.

Horace is survived by his wife, Edith, his children, Beverly and Leonard, and his siblings Ramona Bowden, Mary Patton, Peggie Parrott and Reggie Hall.

Horace was an army veteran, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Certified Public Accountant. Horace began his accounting career as an auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office, and after moving to Kingsport worked as an accountant for Holston Defense Corporation, ran his private accounting practice, taught as an adjunct at ETSU and Kingsport Adult Education, and served as auditor for area non-profits. Horace was a lifelong Tennessee Vol. His blood ran orange.

The family acknowledges and thanks the dedicated staff at NHC Kingsport (South wing) who assisted Horace in his last months.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 11:00am – 12:00pm at First Baptist Church, Kingsport. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
