Homer Lawrence "Larry" Pierce, born on March 31, 1936, in Warren, Ohio, passed away at his home in Baxter, Tennessee, on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the age of 88. He lived a life marked by dedication to service and a passion for craftsmanship.
Larry served as Sheriff in Trumbull County, Ohio, a role that exemplified his commitment to his community and a reflection of his strong moral character. Larry also worked as an electrician. In 2005, he made the significant move from Florida to Baxter, TN, where he continued to build a life rich in purpose and fond memories.
Beyond his professional achievements, he found joy in driving and took great pride in his beloved little red truck. Additionally, he had a talent for leather work, often immersing himself in this craft with enthusiasm and skill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Cook Pierce and Mary Vincent Smith Pierce.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Luella Stevens Pierce of Baxter, who will cherish his memory and hold onto the countless moments they shared together. His legacy of service, craftsmanship, and love will live on through her and in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known him.
