Henry Joe Woody

Mr. Henry Joe Woody, age 78, of Sparta, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1935 in Monterey, TN. to the late Floyd Eckles Woody and Rettie Bell Trisdale Woody. Joe is survived by his wife, Bonnie Mooneyham Woody, one step-son, Shannon Mooneyham of Sparta; two sisters, Dora (Billy) Qualls of Sparta, Lillian (Buford) Humphrey of Walling; one brother, Floyd Woody Jr. of Sparta; two grandchildren, Zachery Alan Mooneyham and Kyle Gamble. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, friends & neighbors. Mr. Woody was a member of the Plain View Church of Christ and was also employed with Builders Supply for many years. Joe loved fishing and being outdoors working in his garden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Louise Mitchell; four brothers, James Carl, Homer, Raymond and Jimmy Woody; two sisters, Ruth Bryant and Louise Henry. Family has chosen cremation and no services are planned.
