Helen Kinnard

Funeral services for Lois Helen Kinnard, 84 of Cookeville, will be Tuesday, May 10 at 2 PM at Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Shipley Cemetery. Bro. Bill Fowler and Bro. Andy Brewster will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday from 1 PM until service time at the church. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mrs. Kinnard died Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1937 in Putnam County to the late Claude and Nancy Lewis Mayberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dawson Kinnard on September 4, 2014, sisters Maryann Keylon and Claudean Davis, brothers Floyd and Larry Mayberry. She retired as office manager at Automobile Club of Michigan. Helen was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ and past member of VanDyke Church of Christ in Warren, Michigan for 42 years. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, bird watching, playing cards and cooking. In all she did, Helen served with her whole heart. Whether in her career, at church, in her gardens, or with her family, she worked tirelessly and selflessly. Helen believed in the power of prayer. She prayed and lived her life in a way to honor God, to serve others, and to enhance the beauty in the world around her. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Carol and Bill Fowler of Abilene, TX, sons and a daughter-in-law Doug and Christy Kinnard, Steve Kinnard all of Cookeville, brother and sister-in-law David and Carolyn Mayberry of Cookeville, grandchildren: Matthew (Cathy) Kinnard, Nicholas (Deanne) Gilreath, Lauren and Lindy Fowler, great grandchildren: Taylor Gilreath, Jasmine and Christopher Kinnard.
