Helen Davis

Funeral services for Helen Marjorie Davis, age 87 of Cookeville, will be at 3p.m. Friday April 15 at Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. Pastor Maston Jackson and Pastor Robert Haynes will officiate. Her family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Helen passed away Tuesday April 12, 2022 at her home. She was born June 21, 1934 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Charles John Marr and Sallie Elizabeth Beeler Barr. Helen was retired accountant in the steel industry in Sparrow's Point, MD. She also was a professional organist and choir director. She was a member and pianist at Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, David Ensor of Santa Cruz, CA; step-son, Don (Kathleen) Davis of Essex, MD; granddaughters, Sara (Phil) Schussler, Jacquelyn Wilson, Haley Flood, and Shelley Davis; grandsons, Shane Ensor and Matt Davis, great grandsons, Nathan and Lukus Schussler, and Logan Ensor; and great granddaughter, Olivia Flood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edward Davis; son, Peter James; step-daughter, Lisa Wilson; and brother, Warren Marr. Pallbearers will be Don Davis, Matt Davis, Stephen Burson, Phil Schussler, and Tom Howard. Memorial contributions may be made to Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church, 109 Stallion Rd, Cookeville, TN 38506. Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
