Hazel Bourne

Funeral services for Hazel Lee McCormick Bourne, 87, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, August 31 at 10 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Thornton, Rev. Charles Hutchinson and Dr. Randall Adkisson officiating. Interment will follow in Bohannon Cemetery. Mrs. Bourne died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 13, 1924 in Monterey to the late Waymon England and Mattie Bell Robinson McCormick. Mrs. Bourne was a member of Cookeville First Baptist Church and the Happy Travelers. She and her late husband, Merlyn loved to travel extensively. She retired from GM with 30 years of service. She was loving and caring to her family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death three sisters, Gladys Daniels, Dorothy Elrod and Frances Everetts. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Marson and Debbie McCormick of Monterey; a sister, Anna Kate Parks, a brother-in-law, Dean Everetts both of Dayton, OH; several nieces and nephews including Kathy Hester of Tipp City, OH; Angie Bohannon and David McCormick both of Monterey and a loving care giver Mabel Mabey. Mrs. Bourne"�s family will receive friends Tuesday 5 "� 7 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
