Harold Randolph

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Lee Randolph, age 81, of Cookeville, will be held Monday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Buddy Henry will officiate. Interment will follow at West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community. Harold’s family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Randolph passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 19th, 1935 in Putnam County, TN to the late Clyde Lee and Mary Alice Bilbrey Randolph. He served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Randolph was employed as a truck driver and a member of Taylor Seminary Freewill Baptist Church. He had a deep love for animals, especially horses and mules. He enjoyed whittling and sharpened knives for countless numbers of people. His loving, strong, and generous nature endeared him to his family and to his many friends. He was mischievous, an instigator and was always full of life and of love. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Ray Randolph and David Randolph; and by a sister, Ruth Ann Elder (husband Tom Elder Sr.). He is survived by his adoring family, his wife of 54 years, Glenda McBride Randolph; daughters, Teresa (Mike) Hodges, Kim Dyer and Tawnia Hodges (boyfriend David Hale); grandchildren, Steven Eldridge, Jared Hodges (girlfriend Cetera Wahlthall), Chris Hodges, Jake Demps (fianc Mychal Goad), Jamie Demps (boyfriend Logan Moore); great grandson, Jackson Demps; brother, Marion Randolph; and by many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends. Jake Demps, Jared Hodges, Logan Moore, Chris Hodges, Mitch Leslie and Steven Eldridge will serve as pallbearers.
