Baxter-Funeral services for Harold Paul Maxwell, 66 of Cookeville formerly of Baxter, will be Sunday, February 19 at 2 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Maxwell Cemetery South. Mr. Maxwell passed away Thursday evening, February 16, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1950 in Baxter to Erma Herren Maxwell of Baxter and the late Paul Maxwell. He was a 1969 graduate of Upperman High School in Baxter. He was a retired janitor with Baxter Elementary School, security guard with Satellite Security and Baron USA. He was a member of Holladay Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, spending time with family and friends, especially his granddaughter. Survivors in addition to his mother, include wife of 35 years Barbara Western Maxwell (Married March 21, 1981) of Cookeville, son and daughter-in-law Devin and Carlie Maxwell of Silver Point, sister and brother-in-law Brenda and Glen Smith, brother Michael Maxwell both of Baxter, granddaughter Adrianna Maxwell and another grandchild due in July. Family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 8 PM and after 10 AM Sunday at the funeral home. Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Stanley Gantt will officiate. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
