Harold ‘Bus' Lloyd Cowan, age 87 of Cookeville, TN and former long-time resident of Alamosa, Colorado died Monday January 13, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. No services for Mr. Cowan are planned at this time. He was born October 28, 1926 in Iola, Kansas to the late Lloyd Roberts Cowan and Grace Anderson Cowan. Mr. Cowan served his county in the United States Army, serving both in World War II in the Corps of Engineers and in the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. He was employed as a line crew foreman the Public Service Company of Colorado (now Xcel Energy). He was an Elder of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the Elks Lodge in Alamosa. He had a deep love for many outdoor activities. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death a son, Robert Stephen Cowan; and by a brother, Howard Jeck. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Carol and David Lee of Cookeville; and by three grandchildren, Christopher Cowan Lee and Zachary Stephen Lee, both of Cookeville, and Jennifer Erin Cowan of Portland, Oregon.
