Guadalupe Francisco Martin, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and friend, died on August 20, 2024, in Cookeville, TN, at the age of 47. Born on February 11, 1977, in the vibrant heart of Guatemala, Guadalupe brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.


Guadalupe's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she had for her family. She was a devoted parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Cookeville, where she found strength and community. As a homemaker, she created a nurturing environment that was the heart of her family's life. Her husband, Luis Juan Francisco, was her partner in every sense, sharing a love that was evident to all who met them.


Her children, Fredy Juan and his wife Amethyst, and Marielena Stephens and her husband Jacob, were the pride of Guadalupe's life. She instilled in them the values of kindness, respect, and the importance of family. Guadalupe's siblings, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond, will remember her as the glue that held the family together through thick and thin.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Baltazar and Peterona Martin.


Guadalupe's passions extended beyond the walls of her home. She was an excellent cook, known for her delicious and heartwarming meals that brought people together. Her love for gardening was evident in the vibrant flowers and lush plants that surrounded her home. Shopping was a joy for Guadalupe, not just for the items she found but for the social interactions and friendships she nurtured along the way. She also enjoyed connecting with friends and family through social media, sharing moments of her life and spreading positivity.


Her grand-pups, Scooby, Rocky, Raiden, and Storm, were a source of laughter and companionship. They were more than pets; they were a part of her extended family and brought her immense joy.


Guadalupe's legacy is one of love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Her radiant smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Guadalupe Francisco Martin's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her loved ones forever.


A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 9:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Gervan Menezes officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 8:30am until the time of service and on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 6:30pm until 8:00 pm at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home Cookeville Chapel.


Interment will follow at Cookeville City Cemetery.
