BAXTER GLORIA GORDON MYATT Gloria Gordon Myatt was born Wednesday, February 3,1932 in Milton, PA, then moved to Homestead, FL with her family when she was 12. Gloria passed peacefully into the hands of The Lord Thursday June 11, 2020. In Homestead, Gloria met and married her husband (James T. Myatt, pre-deceased) and raised her family there. Later they retired to the beautiful State of Tennessee only to return to sunny Florida. Gloria had a smile that would light up the world. A smile she shared warmly and often. Gloria was certainly a “people person”. With a personality that exuded excitement for the Lord, her family, her church, and friends. Gloria worked as a telephone operator, a kindergarten teacher, receptionist for five doctors, school system clerk, and lastly as a Real Estate Broker/Sales Agent having worked alongside her sisters, Bessie and Isabelle. Pre-decease by her parents, Earl F. and Kathryn C. Gordon; her husband, James T. Myatt; Sr, her son, James T, Myatt, Jr; siblings, Doris, Bessie, Kathryn, and Earl “Sonny” Gordon. Survived by her sister, Isabelle (Boris) Stanley, sister-in-law, Sylvia Gordon; daughter, Kathryn (Wes) Brooks; granddaughters, Jamie Kathryn, and Tesa Jacqueline; grandsons, Brian (Jenny), Wesley (Megan), and Landon; great grandchildren, Christian, Levi, Tyler, Maddie, Jack, Eli, Evie, and Ford; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Gloria will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Tuesday June 16, at 10 a.m. at Samuel Maxwell Cemetery, 1st Ave South, Baxter, TN. Hooper-Huddleston & Horner, Baxter Chapel (931) 526-6111 in charge of arrangements.
