Funeral services for Mr. Glenn Calvin Allen, 62 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday April 16 at 11 a.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Burris Cemetery in Jackson County. Rev. Roger Cooper and Bob Stafford will officiate. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Allen died Sunday morning April 13, 2014 in Kindred Care and Rehab Center-Masters in Algood. He was born April 14, 1951 in Cookeville to the late Johnny Henry and Dora Frances Allen. He was a member of Knights Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and attended Cookeville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer and turkey hunting. He worked in construction with Creative Builders and J & S Construction. He played bass guitar for several area bands. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Carmack. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tephany and Terry Randolph, and Shannon and David Brown all of Cookeville; seven grandchildren, Paige Baker, Austin Bates, Dakota Allen, Mariah Lennox, Christopher Randolph, Patrick Randolph, and Terrence Chester. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
