Glenda Copeland

Funeral services for Glenda Jearleen Copeland, 79, of Baxter, were held Wednesday, April 21 at 2 PM at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove Community of Jackson County. Bro. John Pippin and Bro. Charlie West officiated. The family received friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM and after 12 Noon Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Copeland died Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1941 in Jackson County to the late Hobert and Ruby Asberry Lancaster. She was a retired assembler in factory work. She was a member of Baxter Church of Christ. Glenda enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening and canning. She also enjoyed baking desserts, especially pies. Survivors include husband Elbert Copeland of Baxter, daughters and son-in-law Cindy Eden of Cookeville, Sheila and Bobby Pippin of Baxter, son and daughter-in-law Larry and Patsy Copeland of Chattanooga, sister Wanda House of Cookeville, brothers and sisters-in-law David and Leda Lancaster of Silver Point, Jerry and Judy Lancaster of Allons, grandchildren: Maleia (Steve) Jacobs, Kayla Eden, Faith Eden, Annalyn Pippin and Bridget Dial, great-grandchildren: Garrett and Chloe Dial, Tucker and Lillyanne Jacobs. Active pallbearers were William House, Radford Lancaster, David Allen Lancaster, Danny Armistead, Greg Tayes and Steve Jacobs. Due to COVID-19 social distancing measures were observed.
