Gladys E. Langford

Funeral Services for Mrs. Gladys Duke Langford, age 89, of Cookeville, will be Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Langford passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Signature Health Care Center. She was born April 13, 1925 in Overton County TN to the late Richard Duke and Ruth Matthews Duke. Gladys was a member of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ. She worked in the real estate industry for several years before retirement. Gladys is survived by two sons; Mark (wife Nancy Jane) Langford and Bill (wife Sherrie) Langford, both of Texas. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Alexandra and Matthew Langford as well as two sisters; Blanche Fox of Boaz, AL and Janice Maynard of Livingston TN. In addition to her husband, Willie Langford, Gladys was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Duke and two sisters; Hillis Duke and Jeane Williams. Bro. Kerry Duke will be conducting the services.
