Gerelene Wiley

Mrs. Della Gerelene Wiley of Cookeville died Saturday morning February 16, 2019 in Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. Gerelene was born Friday October 4, 1940 in Jackson County, Tennessee to the late Richard Cecil and Mattie Lou Norton Burton. She was 78 years old. She was a graduate of Cookeville Central High, class of 1959. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of Bangham Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Wiley; half-sister, Ruby Lee Hargis and half-brother, Floyd Crawford. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Tom Lockwood, of Spring City, PA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Tammy Wiley of Decatur, AL, and Michael and Tasha Wiley of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) Noonan, Emily Lockwood, Logan, Erin, and Addison Wiley; and twin brother, Henry Eugene "Buddy" (Adeline) Burton of Sitka, Alaska. She was expecting her first great-grandchild this summer. Gerelene's funeral services will be held Saturday February 23 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Tosh officiating. Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturday from 12 noon until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner.
