Gerard Clausing

Graveside Memorial services were held Thursday, June 7 at 11 A.M. for Gerard T. Clausing, 86 of Cookeville at Crest Lawn Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Clausing died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late George and Elizabeth Mulchay Clausing. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Jersey City/Cookeville Chapters of Fraternal Order of Police and American Legion. He was a retired correction officer with Hudson County, New Jersey. He was a Navy veteran of WW2. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: George Clausing, Raymond Clausing and Charles Clausing. Survivors are wife (of 42 years married September 1, 1969 in Jersey City, N.J.) Teresa Albers Clausing of Cookeville and a host of nieces and nephews. Father Chad Puthoff, S.D.S. officiated.
