BAXTER-Graveside service for Geraldine Vinson Reed, 72 of Cookeville will be Friday, May 13 at 2 P.M. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter. Mrs. Reed died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Signature Healthcare-Putnam County in Algood, TN. She was born January 23, 1944 in Putnam County to the late Freeman C. and Buna Mae Brown Vinson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband of thirty years, James Walter "JERRY" Reed. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. She attended Upperman High School in Baxter. She worked at Russell Stover Candy Company for ten years. She loved listening to music, cooking and taking care of others. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Steven and Karen Reed of Cookeville, sisters Gereva Gambrell of Plant City, FL, Clella Dickerson of Baxter, brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Stella Vinson of Cookeville, grandson James Steven Christopher (Tiffany) Reed of Baxter, step-grandson Matthew Moore, great-grandson Jaidon Reed, step-great-grandson Jaxson Harris. Bro. Bobby Moore will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
