Funeral Services Geraldine Cowen McBride, age 85, of Cookeville, will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the West Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Mrs. McBride passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born February 9, 1927 in Smith County TN to the late Eugene Cowen and Eliza Jane Washer Cowen. Geraldine was a member of Brindley’s Chapel Church of God. She is survived by one brother, Marshall Cowen (wife Effie Mae) of Cookeville as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel McBride, two sisters; Ruby Bryant and Billie Judd and three brothers; Charles Cowen, Gene Cowen and George Cowen. Mrs. McBride’s nephews will serve as pallbearers. Bro. Mike Madden and Bro. Donald Widener will conduct the services.
