Graveside Service and interment for Geraldine "GERRY" McDonald Cawthon, 88 of Algood will be Wednesday, February 8 at 12 Noon at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Cawthon passed away Sunday morning, February 5, 2017 at Signature Healthcare-Putnam County in Algood following an extended illness. She was born May 12, 1928 in Putnam County to the late Carse Field and Rhoda Frances Cowen McDonald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Robert Freeman, second husband Stanley Cawthon, brother and sister-in-law Fred and Isabel Cole McDonald. She was a graduate of Baxter Seminary. She attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Methodist church before her declining health. Survivors include niece Sharon McDonald West and husband Lee of Bloomington Springs, great nephew and wife Chris and Michele Robinson of Cookeville, great-great nephew Cole Robinson, first cousins: E.B. Glover of Carthage, William Arthur "W.A." and wife Shelby Glover of Brentwood. Rev. Martha Winchester Vetetoe will officiate. Visitation will be at cemetery following services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Methodist Church % Treasurer Barbara Winchester, 7333 Jones Rd., Baxter, TN 38544.
