Gerald Buckmaster

Gerald Leonard Buckmaster, 85 of Cookeville, TN died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at his home. His wishes of cremation and no public services are being honored

He was born October 3, 1937 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Howard Lovell and Emma Catherine Gehringer Buckmaster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Roberta Jean Wright Buckmaster on May 22, 2020; a son, Gerald Leonard Buckmaster II on October 20, 1996; sisters, Lucille Marie Little, Betty Jane Ruess, Josephine Elaine Laprell; brothers, Robert James Buckmaster, Herman Donald Buckmaster and Harold Isaac Buckmaster.

He was a loving husband, father and very dedicated to a profession he loved.

He was US Army veteran and of the Catholic faith.

Gerald was retired from the City of Pontiac, Michigan as a Captain on the Pontic Fire dept. and was also one of the first certified paramedics in the state of Michigan.

Survivors included son, Clifford Buckmaster; daughters, Catherine Buckmaster and Theresa LaForm; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
