Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Mae Copeland "Ma"� Dennis, 81, of the Spring Creek Community of Overton County will be held Tuesday, August 30 at 11 a.m. from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Paran Cemetery in Overton County. Rev. Gary Farris and Rev. Quinton Lee will officiate. Mrs. Dennis was born June 17, 1930 in Overton County and was the daughter of the late George Washington and Lillie Mae Pryor Copeland. She died Friday, August 26 at Masters Health Care Center. She was a member of Douglas Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was a factory worker, homemaker, seamstress and the best Mother, Grandmother and friend that anyone could possibly ever have. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Campbell Dennis, brother, Reece Copeland, and sister, Pearl Copeland. Mrs. Dennis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James Ronnie (J.R.) and Cindy Dennis of Cookeville; granddaughter, Tara Ashley (Donnie) Puckett of Hilham, two great-grandsons, Branson Lane Barnes of Allons, TN and Darrian James House of Anderson, IN. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 pm and Tuesday from 9 until service time at Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.
