George Kreis

A Celebration of Life for Mr. George Meade Kreis, age 69 of Algood, will be held Saturday, February 20th, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Father Paul Nyuyen will officiate His family will receive friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. George passed away on Sunday February 14, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born September 24, 1946 in Evanston, Illinois to the late George Joseph Kreis and Marie Charlotte Meade Kreis. George was a 1964 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore. He owned a donut and sandwich shop, "Donuts by"…George! in Ellicott City, Maryland for over 30 years. He has been a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church since moving to the area eight years ago. His friendly, outgoing nature endeared him to his many friends. His many interests and loves included fishing, his cats, old cars and doo wop music. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Linda Jean Paris Kreis (whom he married September 26, 1970 in Catonsville, Maryland); sisters, Carol and husband General(R) J.B. Davis USAF of Palm Harbor, Florida and Linda Borshay of New Port Richey, Florida. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made to Mended Hearts, Inc.
