Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Mae Holman, 86 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, September 6th at 12:00 p.m. at the Algood Family Event Center. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Overton County. Rev. Bobby Floyd will officiate. Her family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Algood Family Event Center. Mrs. Holman died Thursday, August 31, 2017 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1931 in Overton Co. to the late Daniel and Martha Hooks Pigg. She attended school in Overton Co. and was a graduate of Livingston Academy. Geneva moved to Algood and was a cook for many years at the Algood school and Masters Healthcare. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Holman and by a sister, Vivian Owen. She is survived by her son, Tommy ‘Tom' Holman of Cookeville, granddaughters, Shelly (Daniel) Simons and Carrie (Joey) Maxwell, and by 11 great grandchildren.
