Funeral Services for Mrs. Geneva Frances Cheshire, age 83, of Sparta, will be Thursday morning, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Thursday February 14 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana Friday afternoon, February 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Cheshire passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1929 in Gradyville KY to the late Roy Scott and Hallie Rogers Scott. Geneva was a loving mother, wife and homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crochet and crafts. She was very active in her church in years gone by and played the organ and piano. Geneva is survived by her husband, Grady Cheshire, two children; Francis E. Warfel (wife Sachiko) of Seattle WA and Ronald L Warfel (wife Brenda) of Cookeville. She is also survived by two sisters; Carole J. Sanders of Sparta and Patricia M. Cape of Cookeville, as well as two grandchildren; John Warfel and Carl (wife April) Warfel, and one great-grandchild, Alaina Kate Warfel. Mrs. Cheshire was loved by her niece; Cynthia Dietz, nephews; Ricky, Mark and Craig Cape, great-niece; Haley Dietz and great-nephews; Zack Dietz and Allen Cape. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cheshire was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward J. Warfel. Bro. Roger Cooper will officiate the services on Thursday.
