Gay Nell Pippin

Funeral services for Gay Nell Pippin, 83 of Cookeville, were held Saturday, March 6 at 11 AM at Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Interment followed in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Dunn officiated. The family received friends Friday from 4 to 8 PM and after 9 AM Saturday until service time at the church. All visitation and services were at the church. Mrs. Pippin died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Celina Health and Rehab . She was born March 17, 1937 in Cookeville to the late Oscar and Lena Mae Mayberry Swift. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Pippin on August 20, 2004, a sister, Nadine Swift and a brother, Horton Swift. She was a active member of Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Gay Nell was a retired associate with McCord's of Cookeville. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and being a caregiver to others. She loved her family and spending time with them. Survivors include nieces: Angelia Swift, Maegon (Darek) Cherry all of Cookeville, Becky Galyean of Gainesboro, a great niece and great nephews and cousins.
