Gary Ott

Private family services for Mr. Gary Rhett Ott, age 63 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, March 15th at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Pastor Ted Kocher will officiate. Gary went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Signature HealthCARE of Putnam County. He was born May 18, 1952 in Hiram, GA to the late Rhett Hampton Ott III and Corrine Lucas Ott. Gary was a graduate of Johnson High School in Savannah, GA. Gary was a jack of all trades and worked in construction. Gary and his family moved to Cookeville in 1995 after accepting a job with Starstruck Entertainment in Nashville. Gary was also an evangelist, traveling and preaching in churches throughout the Southeast. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Esther Marjorie Wilkins Ott; sons, Gary J. Ott and Jason Donald Ott and wife Karen; daughters, Jenny Marie Wilkins, Velicia Rexcene, Marjorie Elizabeth Ott and Kimberly Dawn Miles, all of Cookeville; eight grandchildren; brother, Raymond Dusty Washington and sisters, Dorothy Washington and Salli Lord Ott.
