Frida Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Frida Rosa Lina Brown, 90 of Cookeville will be held Tuesday October 2 at 1 p.m. in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wiegert officiating. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Saturday morning September 29, 2012 in Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born September 12, 1922 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Gottlob Friedrich and Frida Boelcly Massa. She was a member of Cookeville Heavenly Host Lutheran Church and a homemaker. Family and friends knew her as a fantastic cook. She was also a well-known seamstress and loved crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Brown and sister, Annie Loy. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Brown of Cookeville and Marvin & Phyllis Brown of Smyrna, TN; three grandchildren, Jeff (Mary) Brown, Timmy Brown, and David Brown; and two great grandchildren, Adeline Brown and Ethan Brown. Mrs. Brown"�s family will receive friends Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
