Funeral services for Frederick "FRED" Nelson Morgan, 76 of Cookeville, will be Wednesday, September 6 at 1 PM at Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Interment, with military honors will follow in Cunningham Cemetery in White County, TN. Rev. Mark Gaw will officiate. Mr. Morgan died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home. He was born August 8, 1941 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Fred Nelson and Dorothy Stump Morgan. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving from 1959 to 1963. He was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church and NAWCC (National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors). He is survived by wife of 52 years (Married November 13, 1965 in Pontiac, MI) Pamela Hilton Morgan of Cookeville, daughter and son-in-law Melodie (Roger) Nichols of Royal Oak, MI, son and daughter-in-law Michael (Mirian) Morgan of Cookeville, sister and brother-in-law Lynda (Johnnie) Liles of Rochester, MI, brother and sister-in-law John (Bev) Morgan of Penfield, N.Y., grandchildren: Andrew (Jessie) Nichols, Michael Morgan and Kayla Morgan, great-grandchildren: Claire Pokornicki, Marcie Nichols and Mayson James. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends only on Wednesday from 11 AM to service time at the church.
