Fred Noll

April 3, 1945 — December 22, 2023

Mr. Frederick Charles Noll, known affectionately as Fred to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, in Cookeville, Tennessee. Born on April 3, 1945, in Newark, New Jersey, Fred was a beacon of light and strength throughout his 78 years of life.

Fred's journey began in Newark, NJ where he was born to parents Fred and Lillian Kogeas Noll, who preceded him in death. His early years in Newark shaped the man he would become - hardworking, devoted, and always eager to lend a helping hand. Fred's educational path led him to a successful career as a tooling engineer. In 1990, his career took him to Long Beach, MS. His work included15 years of service to the Oreck Corporation, from where he retired in 2011 as a senior tooling engineer, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and innovation. He moved to Cookeville, TN with Oreck after Hurricane Katrina. He was a member of Cookeville First United Methodist Church.

Fred's life was a testament to his faith-filled and creative spirit. He was a craftsman at heart, with a love for fishing that was only matched by his dedication to his family and his faith. Throughout his life, Fred wove a tapestry of love and commitment that was felt by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Linda Ellison Noll, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Together, they raised a family that includes daughters Karen Burwell of Melissa, Texas; Cheryl Noll of Biloxi, Mississippi; Jessica Jerone of Long Beach, Mississippi; and Andrea Frey of Wausau, Wisconsin. Fred's sister, Bernadette Urban, along with her husband Tom of Brick, New Jersey, also survives him. Fred was a proud grandfather to twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and ingenuity.

Fred's life was a reflection of the things he valued most - faith, family, and the simple joy of creating with his hands. His ability to see the beauty in the world and to infuse it with his own brand of creativity was one of the many gifts he shared freely.

As we bid farewell to Frederick Charles Noll, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the stars he so loved to fish under will continue to shine down upon us. Fred's life was a journey of love, laughter, and unwavering faith, and his story will be told for generations to come.
