Franklin J. Brown

Funeral services for Franklin Jesse Brown, 79 of Baxter, will be Tuesday, August 24 at 1 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Brown died Saturday, August 21, 2021 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born May 17, 1942 in Putnam County to the late Frank and Estelle Madewell Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Frankie Brown, step-daughter Pamela Darnell, brothers Eugene and Fred Brown. He attended Ozion Free Will Baptist Church. He had worked with McCord-Winn of Cookeville and Nielsen of Gainesboro as a maintainence mechanic. Franklin enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working in his yard. Survivors include wife of 52 years (Married August 30, 1968) Judy Hedgecough Brown of Baxter, son Kevin Lee Brown of Baxter, step-grandchildren: Travis, Nick, Kyle and Andy, special niece Michelle Smith, special great-niece Kaylee Smith.
