Frank Bryant

BAXTER--Graveside services and interment for Mr. Franklin Delano Bryant, age 85 of Baxter, will be held Friday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bryant Family Cemetery. Frank Rodgers will officiate. Mr. Bryant died Tuesday June 9, 2020 at NHC of Cookeville. He was born September 1, 1934 in Baxter to the late Layton P. and Maudie Boyd Bryant. Frank was a lifelong member of Bethany Church. He was employed with the Putnam County Board of Education for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a Mason and a member of the Monterey Lodge. He was a talented woodworker, carving various Biblical depictions. He was a loving father and husband. He was strong in stature and in personality will be fondly remembered for his honesty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Sarah Virginia Sircy Bryant; daughters, Janice James and Beverly James Mainer; son, Larry Dale James; sisters, Bertie Bryant, Eleanor Bryant, Emogene Anderson and Mary Dean Carr; and by brothers, Ethel Bryant, Dennis Bryant, Clyde Bryant and Tommy Bryant. He is survived by daughter, Vickie Bryant of Baxter; son, Frank Bryant, II and wife Victoria of St. Louis, MO; and by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
