Frances Slagle

Funeral services for Mrs. Media Frances Slagle, age 77, of Cookeville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. David Flatt officiating. Interment will follow at Saylors Cemetery in White County, TN. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. Mrs. Slagle passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 8, 1939 in Nashville, TN to the late Almedia Ramsey. Mrs. Slagle was a former real estate agent in Daytona Beach, FL prior to retirement and relocating to Cookeville. She was a member of Whitson Chapel Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles Dean Slagle, who she married June 1, 1973 in Daytona Beach; four daughters, Rosie Rucks of Alvarado, TX, Karen Slagle of Daytona Beach, FL, Mary Slagle of Belleville, MI, Connie Lynn Grondin (Dennis) of Montgomery, IL; son, Charles Slagle (Joyce) of Newport, TN; several grandchildren and extended family. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to CRMC Foundation Cancer Care Fund, One Medical Center Blvd, Cookeville, TN 38501.
