Faye Elizabeth Brindley

BAXTER -- Funeral services for Faye Elizabeth Brindley, 82, of Baxter, will be held Wednesday, June 11, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cookeville Cemetery. Family will receive friends today, Tuesday, June 10, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Brindley died Monday, June 9, 2008, at her residence. She was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Putnam County to the late Verble Herren and Laura Ann Sweat. Mrs. Brindley was retired from Acme Boot Company. She was a homemaker. Her family includes her husband, Ben Brindley; a daughter, Barbara Farley Hughes of Cookeville; a sister, Jo Bell of Holdenville, Okla.; a brother, Winnell Herren of Lewisburg; a grandson, Russell Hughes of Aiken, S.C.; and a stepgranddaughter, Carina Hughes Freeman of Nashville. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brindley was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh Lee Farley; a brother, Willard Herren; and four sisters, Zel Kozak, Reba and Etha Jones and Florine Tucker. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Dyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
