Funeral services for Mrs. Fay Ola Kirkus Curry, 78, of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 1 pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Dr. John W. Moody officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 "� 8 pm and again Wednesday from 11 am until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Curry died Monday morning, June 10, 2013 at her home in Cookeville. She was born March 24, 1935 in Covington, GA She was preceded in death by her parents, Wardell Reed and Era Gladys Drake Reed; and son, Johnny Melvin Curry Jr. Mrs. Curry was a member of Cookeville First Baptist Church. She was retired from BellSouth Telecommunications with over 30 years of service. She supported her husband Dr. Johnny M. Curry Sr. in ministry to local churches for over 59 years. They were married June 8, 1952 in Covington, GA. She loved to sing and paint porcelain figures. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Beverly and Larry Stockton, of Livingston, Tonja Graham of Sarasota, FL, and Sharon Mann of Cookeville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wardell Jr. and Ann Reed of Covington, GA, Marcus Terry and Sandra Reed of Jefferson City, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Vicki Taylor, Pamela and Joe Wayne Barnes all of Oxford, GA; 9 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Jason, Jeremy, and Mark Reed, Cody Mann, Joe Wayne Barnes, and Larry Stockton will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Teen Challenge of the Upper Cumberland, 760 Rickman Road, Livingston, TN 38570.
