BAXTER-Funeral services for Evelyn Pauline Roberts, 91 of Baxter, will be Monday, January 2 at 1 PM from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery in Silver Point. Mrs. Roberts passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at NHC of Cookeville. She was born March 18, 1925 in Jackson County to the late Arb C. and Clara Alice Richardson Billingsley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Clarence Odell Roberts, sisters Gladys Wheeler, Alene Toben, Adeline Gray and Morine Dyer, brothers James C. Billingsley, Kenneth Billingsley and Carl Billingsley. She was a member of Baxter Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. She loved cooking, working in her flower garden, quilting and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law Patricia "PAT" (Danny) Anderson of Baxter, Janie Maddle of Silver Point, Son William "BILL" Roberts of Hazard, KY., sisters Elinor Chaffin of Cookeville and Jewel Smith of Warren, MI, grandchildren: Kristina Anderson, Tyler Maddle and Kelly Maddle, great-grandson Jakzon Kilgore. Family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 8 and after 10 AM Monday at the funeral home. Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
