Eugenia Calloway

Funeral services for Etta Eugenia Calloway, age 74 of Knoxville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday May 28 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Russell Flatt will officiate. Interment will follow at Browns Mill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time. She was born February 27, 1948, in Cookeville to the late Claudia Russell Flatt and Nancy Kathleen Clouse Flatt. Eugenia passed away Monday May 23, 2022 at her home in Knoxville. Eugenia worked in insurance services and later began a career in nursing. She worked as a CNA with Parkwest and Baptist Hospitals in Knoxville, and Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. She was a gentle and loving wife, sister, and mother. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Calloway; and three brothers, Rev. Russell Flatt and wife Dorothy, Raymond Flatt and wife Teresa, and Rodney Flatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Claiborne Calloway, and sister, Nancy Flatt.
