Etheleen Richardson

Cookeville-Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Etheleen Richardson, age 91, of Cookeville, will be at 12 p.m. Thursday, December 26 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Loftis will officiate. Interment will follow in Netherland Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Richardson passed away Sunday evening December 22, 2019 at Bethesda Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 16, 1928 in Putnam County to the late Millard Clarence and Hallie Mae Hastings Ogletree. She was a graduate of Rickman High School and later worked as the school's cafeteria manager for over 20 years. Mrs. Richardson was employed for over 20 years at Masters Healthcare in Algood where she worked until her retirement. She loved people and was compassionate towards others, placing the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and was an excellent cook. She was a lifelong member of Netherland Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Richardson; sister, Clyda George; and two infant brothers, Lonnie and Lester Ogletree. She is survived by two sons, Tim Richardson (wife, Kim) of Livingston, Mike Richardson (wife, Leah) of Livingston, TN; granddaughter, Brandi Nicole Richardson; grandson, Chad Lee (wife, Darla) Richardson, both of Cookeville; and great grandson, Silas Richardson. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Memorial contributions may be made to Netherland Cemetery Care Fund. Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (931)526-6111.
