Essie Murray

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Essie M. Murray, 70, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 17, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until time of services today at the funeral home. Mrs. Murray died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008, in NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born Jan. 9, 1938, in White County to the late Waymond Everett and Vera Cronk Cole. Mrs. Murray was a member of Wilhite Baptist Church and was a factory worker. Her family includes her husband, Johnny Murray of Cookeville; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and K Lowe of Cookeville; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Richard and Linda Cole of Cookeville, Cecil Wayne and Shelia Cole of Rickman and James Cole of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ridley and Thurston Cole. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Murray's nephews. Bros. Terry Geren and Jeff Hicks will officiate at the services.
