Emy Lorraine (Nordstrom) Beardsley, age 88, passed from this life into eternity on March 3, 2015, at Morningside assisted living facility in Cookeville, TN. Emy was born in Baldwin, ND on March 11, 1926 to John Albin Nordstrom and Nellie Matilda (Peterson) Nordstrom, both of Swedish heritage. Emy graduated from Bismarck High School in North Dakota in 1944. She married Albert Delbert Beardsley on March 19, 1946 in Glasgow MT. They made their home there for almost 30 years, where they operated Taylor-Smith Inc., a Jeep and Ford tractor dealership. They relocated to Olympia, WA for the next 32 years, before their final move to Cookeville TN in 2008. Albert preceded her in January 2009 after 62 years together. She was a life long Lutheran, spending many years as the Sunday School Administrator. Many children were able to experience the world of Scouting through Albert and Emy's leadership. She also devoted many hours as a loving caregiver to neighbors and friends in need. She is survived by her two sons; Albert Beardsley and wife Susan of Byrdstown TN, Wayne Beardsley and wife Lynn of Kirkland WA, her daughter Barbara Crawford and husband Howard of Columbia Falls MT; four grandchildren, Rodney Beardsley, Chad Beardsley, Angela Beardsley and Jonathan Beardsley; two step-grandchildren, Steven Crawford and Brian Crawford; five great-grandchildren, Hunter Beardsley, Ryder Beardsley, Alan Beardsley, Elliot Beardsley and Gabby Beardsley; two sisters, Anna Mae Haas and Mary Weixel; one brother Gilbert Nordstrom and wife Evelyn. She was one of nine children with 2 sisters, Rose Alton and Viola Kline, 3 brothers, Robert Nordstrom, Henry Nordstrom and Norman Nordstrom preceding her in death. As per her wishes she will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga Tennessee with her husband Albert Delbert Beardsley. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later time.
