Emogene Sitz

Funeral services for Emogene Sitz, age 92, of Cookeville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday January 31 in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Ted Kocher will officiate. Interment will follow in Crest Lawn Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Sitz passed away Wednesday morning January 29, 2020 at Bethesda Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 3, 1927 in Putnam County, TN to the late Jesse Herman and Vella Holloway Peek. Mrs. Sitz was a member of Cookevlle Freewill Baptist Church. She was retired from McCord-Winn in Cookeville. She is survived by thee daughters, Judy (Joe) Vaughn, Patsy Miller, and Sandra (Allan) Martin, all of Cookeville; grandchildren, David Tucker, Diana Rodgers Lovellette, Lisa Miller Maynor, Jason Miller, Britt, Cole, and Sampson Martin, Laila Martin Dunham, and Andrea Martin Carr; 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Sitz; three sisters, Pauline Rector, Ronna Reed, and Geraldine Randolph; two brothers, Raymond and Dennis Peek. Pallbearers will be family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank the staff of at Bethesda for their kindness and care.
