Emma Sue Mccaleb

Graveside service for Mrs. Emma Sue McCaleb, age 88, of Flint AL. will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in West Cemetery. Mrs. McCaleb died Saturday, February 8, 2014. Her visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Flint Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church. Burial will be on Wednesday at West Cemetery in Cookeville, Tenn. Bro. James Andrews, Bro. Chris Pressnell and Bro. Tom Boyette are officiating. Mrs. McCaleb is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. and Ova Massa; husband, Haris McCaleb and grandson, Matthew Haris Boyette. She is survived by her son, Allan McCaleb of Decatur; daughters, Marcia (Ken) Collins of Valdosta, Ga., Jo (Tom) Boyette of Nashville, Tenn. and Pat (Keith) Spivey of Decatur; sister, Florene Davis of Cookeville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Cale) Crouse of Henderson, Tenn., Jason (Jana) Spivey of Decatur; Joshua (June) Collins of Hahira, Ga., Thomas (Penny) Boyette of Cleveland, Miss., Jaime (Cliff) Ferrell of Stuttgart, Germany, Susan (Adam) McDowell of Collierville, Tenn. and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. McCaleb was a member of Flint Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and all of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Serving as pallbearers will be her five grandsons and friends of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley, Decatur or The Latin American Missions of Forrest Park Church of Christ, Valdosta, Ga. Dyer Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements.
