Emitt Little

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Emitt Little, 85 of Cookeville, will be held Friday June 27 at 7pm in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Father Chad Puthoff officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 am Saturday, June 28 at Calvary Cemetery in Nashville with Father Mark Hunt officiating. His family will receive friends Friday from 4 pm until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Little died Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 24, 1928 in Overton County to the late Huey Virgil and Nan Fletcher Little. Mr. Little was a member of Saint Vincent Catholic Church in Nashville and attended Saint Thomas Catholic Church in Cookeville. He was received his BS Degree from Tennessee Tech University in 1961; was a retired Insurance Adjuster with Continental Insurance Company; and a U. S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann Little; three brothers, Ernest Little, Denny Little, and Champ Little; and a sister, Ninis Beaty. Survivors include two sisters, Norma Ruth Brown of Cookeville and Geneva Crabtree of Monroe, TN; two brothers, Ray Little of Senora, CA and Dock (Gale) Little of Cookeville; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Little's family will receive friends Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p. m. at the funeral home.
