Elouise Jared

Funeral services for Elouise Jared, 89 of Baxter will be Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 11 A.M. at Baxter United Methodist Church with interment in Maxwell Cemetery North. Mrs. Jared died Sunday evening, February 17, 2013 at her home. She was born July 4, 1923 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Henry and Bertha Pearl Slayden McBride. She has been a resident of Baxter since 1956. She was a retired restaurant manager and member of Family Community Education Club (F.C.E.) She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church in Cookeville and very active in the church Women"�s Group. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by step-father Presley William Jacobs, two brothers Joe Jacobs and Jimmy Jacobs. Survivors include husband of 63 year L.P. Jared, JR (whom she married September 13, 1949 in Jonesboro, Arkansas) ; daughter and son-in-law Sherron and James Stanton of Baxter, son and daughter-in-law Vanas and Mary Ann Medlock of Cookeville, sister and brother-in-law Margaret and William Hetler of Leachville, Arkansas, four grandchildren: Cindy Moore of Cookeville, Tammy Guess of Cookeville, Danny Stanton of Hendersonville, Jacob Stanton of Brentwood, seven great-grandchildren: Krissy Guess Livingston, Crystal Guess Holt, Dustin Stanton, Chelsey Stanton Strock, Erica Jane Stanton, Joshua David Stanton, Tiffany Moore, six great-great-grandchildren Karissa Livingston, Kathryn Livingston, Kaitlyn Livingston, Kierstyn Livingston, Cassidy Holt and Sheyene Holt. Rev. Gerald Taylor and Rev. Carl Stiglich will officiate. Active Pallbearers will be Carroll Talley, Wilson Talley, Jeff Moore, Hank Guess, Joe Harpe and Jacob Stanton. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Baxter Chapel and at the church after 10 A.M. Wednesday.
